Having your own USP

Firstly let’s be open here……Some of us don’t actually know what a USP is…..That’s not necessarily a bad thing…however in the world of TV and Presentation its something that really is imperative……

Last week I had a brilliant session with a young lady who really wants to break into the work of TV Presentations. Yes she’s beautiful to look at……however thankfully she realise that these days pretty doesn’t always cut it on its own….Nor does having a great happy smiley personality (there are plenty of those types in the world today!)
Tools…tricks of the trade etc etc are absolute game changers…..and without them….AND without your own USP it’s going to be a along hard road to follow!!!

Soooo… USP…….”Unique Selling Point”….This is what you need to know and believe about yourself to be able to market YOU… as a business (because that’s what YOU are)….in this competitive field…YOU are a Business!

My client was initially a little perplexed at this, and struggled to be able to tell me why she thought she had something different to bring to the table….
However very quickly after a bit of soul searching…positive thinking….and a push from me……what we gained was quite wonderful.
It’s like an instant confidence booster….It Brough an immediate change in her body language (once those thoughts were stored in the mind) even before any script/presentation had begun…and had an IMMEDIATE change in her delivery of presentation..

So simple……yet so so effective….

Both of us were very happy to say the least….and I’m soooo looking forward to our next session and to working towards getting some footage that my client and I both feel is worthy of sending out to those that will be looking at her work.

I will also be keen to hear about how others have noticed her changes, not only in her work but also in her own personal aura. How her self beliefs and thought processes about herself have changed her focus on a day to day basis…
